Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Adrenal Fatigue, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Burn out Syndrome
Adrenal fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome, burn out syndrome are quite difficult to define their causes and medical diagnosis. Feeling like low energy with no reason occurs when Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis have lost their balances in stress responses. Usually, stress responses function between endocrine systems and nervous systems—Neuroendocrine. Stress is the main factor of Adrenal fatigue.
Stress means both mental stress and physical stress. Cortisol hormone is an essential substance in stress management of the body. When Cortisol is insufficient, the body is not able to manage stress properly. Another essential substance that helps the body controlling sodium and potassium levels during stress is Aldosterone. When the body is under stress, Aldosterone is secreted making some amount of sodium trapped in the tissues, water trapped in the tissues, and hypertension. However, in some cases of Adrenal fatigue, hypotension can also occur.

Symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue can be classified into 4 stages based on severity.
Stage 1: in this stage, our body has an immediate reaction to the oncoming stressors. The stressors could be something very simple like hard working, long-distance hiking, heavy exercise, or even some quarrels or life-changing events. As long as you know that those things causes you stress, you can recover from them by getting yourself enough sleep and relaxation.
Stage 2: The stressors continue to elevate severity or some other stressors come simultaneously. For examples, you are catching the flu while you are having high workloads. You will feel overloaded and have effects of overexerting the adrenals.
Stage 3: the effects of overexerting the adrenals on the stress are obvious and hard to neglect such as regular infection, insomnia, feel like no energy, abnormal menstruation, or depression.
Stage 4: this stage is a stage 3 plus diseases such as metabolic syndrome, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and hypothyroidism.
