Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a long-term skin disorders with inflammation, which affects patients’ quality of life. The cause of the disease is still uncertain; it can be genetic traits, abnormal immune systems, and motivating factors of abnormal cell division. Psoriasis can be found in 1-2% of population in men and women, children and adults. Psoriasis does not only relate to skin conditions, but it also relates to some other diseases such as obesity, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes.

 Symptoms of Psoriasis

  • Red patched of skin covered with thick, silvery scales. It can be scraped off and found bleeding spots.

  • Rash scattered around the scrubbed areas such as head, back, hips, elbows, knees, shins, ankles, palms, and feet.

  • Problems with fingernails and toenails such as scales or brown spots under nails.

  • Joint inflammation. Either large joints or small joints, either one joint or several joints, or joint deformation.
